The Madhya Pradesh State Supreme Court on Thursday called the four-day strike by medical residents “illegal” and ordered them to resume their duties on Friday afternoon.

Of that, around 3,000 medical assistants working in 6 state-affiliated medical schools have resigned en masse. According to information from Indian NDTV, Madhya Pradesh Association of Resident Physicians (MPJDA) President Dr. Arvind Meena announced that collective resignations were submitted to the deans of the universities concerned. Meena said she supports strikes by assistant and senior doctors in Rajasthan, Bihar, Chatisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra and some other states.

Assistant physicians are making demands such as increased salaries and free corona treatment for themselves and their families. Although the government announced a 17 percent wage increase, Meena said the strike would continue until wages were increased by the promised 24 percent.

The United States, which is living a nightmare in the epidemic, is normalizing at varying rates by state. As vaccination in the country was in full swing, an interesting step came from the state of Florida. The Florida Department of Health has announced that data such as cases, deaths, vaccines and tests will be announced weekly, not daily. As the number of new cases registered in the province has dropped significantly, it has been reported that a new phase has been entered in the fight against the epidemic. The Florida governor’s office said there was no longer a need to share daily data.

Data scientist Rebekah D. Jones, one of the creators of the data sheet in Florida, announced in May 2020 that she had been fired for refusing to manipulate the data so certain areas of the state could reopen. State officials, on the other hand, denied that claim, saying Jones made unilateral decisions regarding the data table. Despite the rapidly evolving epidemic in Florida, the restriction measures were lifted in a short time.
