Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) made the first international commercial flight to Afghanistan after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan.
PIA spokesman Abdullah Hafiz Ha told Anadolu (AA) news agency that the plane took off from the Pakistani capital Islamabad for Kabul.
The group said they accompanied the reporter and that the first international commercial flight to Afghanistan took place.
Expressing that the plane was chartered, Khan said that on the plane returning from Kabul to Islamabad, World Bank employees, members of the international media and about 80 civilians who wanted to leave the country were on board.
Khan added that he hopes flight services will start in Kabul soon.
International commercial flights to Afghanistan were halted after the Taliban entered Kabul on August 15.
