A woman has filed a complaint against American artist Bob Dylan (80), who is considered one of the living legends of music, for sexually assaulting her in 1965 when she was 12 years old. The plaintiff, who is now 68 years old and whose name was described as “JC” in documents at the Manhattan Supreme Court, where the case was filed, claimed that Dylan had established a “friendship and a emotional bond “with her. Court documents alleged that the woman living in the US state of Connecticut sexually assaulted the famous singer in her flashy room at the Chelsea Hotel in Manhattan by giving her drugs and alcohol.
ATTACK MULTIPLE TIMES
According to court records, the woman claimed that Dylan sexually assaulted her more than once in April and May 1965 when she was 23 or 24, reduced her shyness by establishing an emotional bond with her, while threatening to use physical violence for the purpose of sexual abuse. The Applicant testified that his experiences left him with permanent emotional and psychological scars.

Speaking to The Guardian newspaper, the famous singer’s spokesperson denied the allegations and said: “These 56-year-old claims are not true and will be vigorously defended.” Bob Dylan, real name Robert Allen Zimmerman, has won 11 Grammy Awards as well as the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature. Dylan is also the recipient of the Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honor, awarded to those who contribute to world peace and culture.
