Çavuşoğlu met his Japanese counterpart

A written statement was made by the Embassy of Japan in Ankara regarding the Çavuşoğlu-Motegi meeting held in Istanbul. During the 150-minute meeting between the two ministers, it was reported that Motegi sent his best wishes for the forest fires in Turkey and congratulated the Turkish athletes on their success at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.


Stating that during the Çavuşoğlu-Motegi meeting, views were exchanged on regional issues such as Afghanistan, Iraq, the Middle East peace process, as well as on developments in Asia like China and North Korea, the statement said: Çavuşoğlu has provided support ”.

After the meeting, the two ministers signed mutual official documents regarding the ceiling loan of 45 billion Japanese yen (approximately 3.5 billion Turkish liras) to be provided for the purpose of providing social infrastructure to local governments in Turkey, which is affected by the entry of Syrian immigrants into the country.
