Due to the continued decline in the number of daily cases and deaths linked to the Kovid-19 epidemic in the country, the government has changed the regions of Sicily, Tuscany, Autonomous Administration of Bolzano, Calabria, Countryside, Basilicata, Marche from medium risk “yellow” category to “white” low risk category. Thus, the number of regions in the “white” category across the country has increased from 13 to 20.
All Kovid-19 measures, with the exception of the wearing of masks and social distancing measures, have been completely abolished in regions classified as “white”.
It was stated that only the Valle d’Aosta region in the north remained in the “yellow” category in the country, and that region is expected to be included in the white category next week.
On the other hand, in accordance with the requests of certain representatives of political parties, the relaxation of the rule of wearing a mask in the open air has come to the fore.
It was indicated that the Scientific Technical Committee on the Coronavirus, convened by instruction from the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza, should issue an opinion on this issue and that the rule of wearing masks in the open air will be abolished from the beginning of July.

THE DROP IN DAILY CASES AND DEATHS CONTINUES
According to data from the Ministry of Health, 495 people were diagnosed with Kovid-19 in 81 thousand 752 tests carried out in the country in the past 24 hours. Thus, the total number of cases since February 2020, the date of the start of the epidemic in the country, has reached 4 million 253 thousand 460.
The number of active Kovid-19 patients in the country has decreased to 76,000,853 and the number of intensive care patients to 385.
In Italy, the number of people who died from the virus in the past 24 hours has increased from 21 to 127,000,291.
The number of those who recovered reached 4 million 49 thousand 316 with an increase of 11 thousand 320.
The number of people vaccinated in the country, where the massive Kovid-19 vaccination campaign began on December 27, 2020, has reached 46 million 219 thousand 493 to date. Of those who were vaccinated, 15 million 880 thousand 154 were those who received the second dose.
