Interesting cellphone ban comes into effect in Poland

A law prohibiting the use of mobile phones on pedestrian crossings has entered into force in Poland.

In the Polish Radio News, it was reported that the regulations on the use of mobile phones by pedestrians in traffic began to be implemented as part of a law aimed at reducing loss of life in traffic accidents in the country.

According to the report, the law reorganizes the braking distance between two vehicles on highways and prohibits movement in the trunk.

It has been stated in the newspapers that the regulation does not only apply to drivers, but also covers pedestrians, and that pedestrians are prohibited from using cell phones while crossing the street.

It was said that 2,500 pedestrians lost their lives in traffic accidents in Poland last year, and in this regard the country is at the forefront of the European Union.
