The Israeli Central Court in East Jerusalem met to discuss its objections to the previous ruling regarding the eviction of 86 families in Silvan.

However, today’s hearing yielded no results and the court postponed its ruling on the Palestinian families’ objection to July 8.

The Israeli court postponed the hearing of the appeal against the release decision on May 26.

Ahead of today’s hearing, Palestinians protested the Israeli court’s previous decision to evacuate the homes of Palestinian families in the city of Silvan.

According to eyewitnesses, Israeli forces, which intervened in the protest, arrested a protester after severely beating him.

Palestinians in the Batin al-Hawa neighborhood in Silvan objected to the Israeli court’s decision to evacuate their homes, and it was decided to reconsider the case.

The defense committee, which protects the rights of Palestinians in the neighborhood, said the decision concerned 86 families and at least 700 people.

There are concerns that the decision threatens to be forcibly evicted from their homes for other Palestinians living in the area.
