Last minute … Attack in New Zealand: Many injured!

A supermarket has been attacked in Auckland, New Zealand.

In a statement about the attack, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said police had neutralized the assailant within a minute.

“A violent extremist carried out a terrorist attack on innocent New Zealanders,” Ardern said in a statement.


Ardern said the terrorist was a Sri Lankan national who arrived in New Zealand in October 2011 and followed by national security units since 2016.

While the assailant was killed, it was reported that at least six people were stabbed in the supermarket attack.

In the statement made by the security forces in this regard, it was pointed out that the aggressor was believed to be alone and that there was no suspicion of another attack.

Three of the injured are in critical condition

The St John’s Ambulance Service told Reuters that three of the six people injured were in critical condition, one in serious condition and the other in moderate condition.

It is also among the information that the attacker is a supporter of the terrorist organization DAESH.
