Moderna also announced the effectiveness of its vaccine against Delta. The company took blood samples from eight patients a week after receiving their second dose of the vaccine and exposed them to several variants.

The vaccine produced highly neutralizing antibodies against all variants tested, including the Delta variant. According to the official statement, antibody levels only dropped 2.1-fold against the Delta variant.
