Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has announced that his country will provide $ 31 million in food aid, Covid vaccines and medicine to Afghanistan.
The Chinese minister, who met his counterparts from Pakistan, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, called on these countries to cooperate with Afghanistan.
China established a long-standing relationship with the Taliban, who captured the Afghan capital Kabul on August 15 and regained control of the country 20 years later.
In July, a Taliban delegation was received in Beijing.
Chinese officials pledged economic aid to the Taliban delegation, but stressed that Afghanistan should not be allowed to be “used as a base for terrorist organizations.”
Taliban officials define China as one of Afghanistan’s most important international partners and expect China to invest in the country.
On the other hand, some social media users in China are critical of their country’s relationship with the Taliban through what is done to women in Afghanistan.

“THE PRESENCE OF THE UNITED STATES IN AFGHANISTAN HAS DONE GREAT DAMAGE TO THE COUNTRY”
On the other hand, Chinese Foreign Spokesman Wang Venbin said the US presence in Afghanistan “has done great harm to Afghanistan from day one until the withdrawal.”
“What the United States has done in Afghanistan over the past 20 years is a very typical example of the consequences of trying to impose its ideology and values on others through occasional military occupation,” said spokesperson Wang.
The Beijing administration considers the announcement by the Taliban of the interim government in Afghanistan yesterday as a “necessary step towards the restoration of order in the country”.
The Taliban declared Afghanistan now an “Islamic emirate” after announcing the interim government.
US President Joe Biden has said they are “a long way off” from recognizing the Taliban administration.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu answered a similar question before the interim government was put in place in Afghanistan: “We will act according to conditions and developments”.
