According to the decision of the Council of Ministers meeting under the chairmanship of Chancellor Angela Merkel, any person accredited to international sporting events by the competent organizing committee will be exempt from the quarantine request.

In the decision, which specifies that this request will be valid until July 28, strict rules of protection and hygiene are stipulated in the context of the event.

Thus, the quarantine requirement in the country is lifted for footballers who will come to Germany for EURO 2020, as well as for accredited foreign journalists and those working in the organization.

As part of EURO 2020, which takes place from 11 June to 11 July, 3 group stage matches and 1 quarter-final match are scheduled at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
