The US-led anti-DAESH coalition provided assistance in military vehicles to the Peshmerga forces of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (KRG).
Coalition forces delivered 150 military vehicles to the Peshmerga ministry at a ceremony held in Erbil.
Among the vehicles that entered the inventory of the Peshmerga forces were trucks, fuel and water tankers, as well as 50 Hummer armored vehicles.
Coalition forces donated around 70 new vehicles to the Peshmerga ministry on July 26. Among the vehicles on display at the ceremony were armored vehicles such as Humvee, tankers and military trucks.
It should be noted that the aid in question came after Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi declared that “the presence of American soldiers in Iraq is no longer necessary to fight the terrorist organization DAESH”.
