Pakistan surrenders to torrential rains: death toll rises to 18

The number of people who have lost their lives as a result of disasters and accidents caused by heavy rains in various provinces of Pakistan has risen to 18.

According to reports in the national press, heavy rains in different parts of the country have had a negative impact on life.

Authorities said three houses collapsed completely due to heavy rains in the Torgar region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and 11 people died.

Noting that search and rescue efforts are continuing, authorities said they were concerned about the rising death toll.

Flooding across the region damaged many homes and farmland.

In the past 2 days, 7 people, including 4 children, have lost their lives in disasters and accidents caused by heavy rains across the state of Punjab.
