Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made assessments at the government meeting in the capital Yerevan on the issues on the agenda.
Stating that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has made statements to normalize relations with Armenia, Pashinyan said, “In these statements we see the possibility of normalizing relations between Turkey and Armenia. We are ready to discuss the normalization of relations with Turkey and the restoration of land and rail transport. We are ready for such a conversation and we can expand it further. he said.
Pashinyan explained that with the said consultations, regional connections can be made in all directions, “Russia has declared that it is ready to help in this matter. The European Union, notably France and the United States, are also interested in this process. The approaches of India and China towards reviving transport in the region are clear. ” he said,
In addition, Pashinyan added that plans for the north-to-south transport corridor in the region hold a special place in talks with Iran and Georgia.
