A week before the Paralympics, the number of daily cases across the country in Japan topped 23,000 for the first time since the outbreak began.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, 23,000,917 cases of Kovid-19 have been detected in Japan in the past 24 hours.
