In his speech to the White House, Biden announced further steps to be taken to combat Kovid-19.

Biden said, “If you live, work, or visit a nursing home, you shouldn’t risk getting Kovid-19 from employees,” Biden said, adding that if employees at these institutions don’t get immunization, Medicaid and Medicare payments from institutions will be reduced.

The new application announced by Biden follows on from a series of regulations that the US administration has put in place in recent weeks to increase vaccination in the country.

In recent weeks, it was announced that the US administration, which has asked federal employees and health workers to prove they have been vaccinated, will make the vaccine mandatory in the military as early as next month.

Federal data shows hundreds of thousands of nursing home workers across the country are unvaccinated.

The vaccination requirement for nursing home workers is expected to be implemented next month.
