According to the amendment made as part of a series of laws passed in the Bundestag with the votes of the Bundestag groups Parties of Christian Unity (CDU / CSU) and the Social Democratic Party (SPD) forming the coalition government in Germany, the use of the flag and symbols of Hamas, such as the terrorist organization PKK, are prohibited.

According to the annexed article 86, it will be enough for this organization to appear on the terrorist list of the European Union (EU) to henceforth ban the flag of an organization.

The Hamas flag has been used frequently, especially during the recent anti-Israel protests in the country.

According to another accepted article, serious insults against far-right extremists, Muslims and Jews, gays and people with disabilities will be punished more severely.

Applications for German nationality by foreigners who commit a racist, xenophobic or anti-Semitic crime in Germany will no longer be accepted.
